Appellant-defendant, Lorenzo Chavez, was convicted and sentenced in the Navajo County Superior Court for the crime of burglary in the first degree. In this appeal he asserts that he was denied his constitutional rights in violation of the Arizona Constitution, Article 2, Â§ 24, A.R.S. In particular, he alleges that the trial court erred in allowing a witness for the State to testify in violation of Rule 15.1(a)(1) and (7), Rules of Criminal Procedure, 17 A.R.S., and he also alleges that his constitutional rights were violated by the States failure to process certain glass window fragments for fingerprints.
